3-2-1…L³IFT OFF!

A young student high-fiving her teacher.

Welcome to the L³IFT Blog!

We, the team at the Language and Culture Center (LCC) at CESA 2, are thrilled to kick off our first blog to bring the Learning, Language, and Literacy Integrated Framework for Teaching (L³IFT) to life!

If you know our team, you know we’re passionate about supporting Multilingual Learners (MLs) in education. But here’s the exciting part: L³IFT isn’t just for MLs. The framework equips educators with strategies that elevate learning for all students, connecting language, culture, and rigorous content in ways that empower every learner to succeed.

In this blog, we’ll be shining light on both new and familiar practices, from culturally sustaining teaching and scaffolding to translanguaging and disciplinary literacy. You’ll hear stories from educators who are using L³IFT in action, discover ready-to-use classroom ideas, and see how language truly unlocks learning for all students.

So, here we go! We are about to L³IFT off! Hang on to your hats, and join us on this journey to lift every learner, one post at a time.
